What are some differences between the 2004 gmc envoy and chevy trailblazer?
Q. I own a 2004 envoy and i have a friend at work that insists there is no difference between the two. Does anyone have any good points i can make to shut him up for good?

A. The differences are all cosmetic, like a camaro and a firebird. Once you look under the few sheetmetal differences and some glued on plastic stuff all of them are the same, trailblazer, envoy, ranier, whatever the isuzu is, and the saab are all the same truck, and the h3 is a very close cousin.

How do you tell the difference between a 2004 and 2004.5 Mistubishi Endeavor?
Q. I am test driving one today and might buy it soon. There are really two different models for 2004, the regular 2004 and the 2004.5. How do you tell the difference? Of course it is a legit question. I need to know how to tell the difference because the 2004.5 addressed/fixed some of the original 2004 shortcomings. I need to know how to tell the difference between the two.

A. Check the vin and cross reference with the mfg records or look at the boiler plate on the drivers side door jam. There you will find the actual date of manufacture.

What is the radio fuse labelled in a 2004 chevy malibu?
Q. i have a 2004 malibu and my radio seems to be broken because it keeps saying check disc. the motor that ejects the disc keeps running and kills my battery. i have checked both fuse boxes but i don't know what the radio fuse is labelled. any help is appreciated.
Asked by Jordan L - Tue May 19 18:04:41 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The radio fuse is marked "Radio" and is a 10 amp fuse located in the Body Control Module which is on the passenger side front of the center console, where the passengers left foot would rest. The trim panel pulls off, and the BCM is behind it.

How do you stop microsoft word for mac 2004 opening with section break?
Q. Whenever I open a new word document in microsoft office 2004 for mac, it open with this "Section break(continuous)". I don't how it got there but it bothers me a lot and would like to know how to get rid of it.

A. In Word 2003 for Windows, that would probably be an unintended addition to the global template (normal.dot). Here's how I'd get rid of it: 1.Close all open copies of Word. 2.Open Word. 3.Click on the File->Save As menu item. 4.In the "File of Type" list box, scroll down to Document Templates and select it. The directory should change and there should be a Normal.dot file in it. don t save the file. Click Cancel instead. 5.Press CTRL/O to bring up the File Open dialog. 6.Select Normal.dot. Normal.dot should become your open document. 7.Now delete the section break by putting the cursor on it and pressing the Delete key. 8.Save the file. You may get a warning message about the Global template having been changed. This is OK. Click… [cont.]

How do I correct an error on my 2004 and 2005 taxes?
Q. In April of 2005, before the tax deadline I put $3000 into an IRA through ameritrade and claimed that on my 2004 taxes. In April of 2006, I did the same thing but with the increased $4000 cap. Apparently ameritrade requires a slip to be mailed in to say to which year the contribution is supposed to go. Without the slip these contributions went to the calendar year they were bought in and not the previous years as allowed. So yesterday when I went to max my contribution for 2006 I saw that it was already maxed. How do I go ahead and fix this now before the penalties start accrueing. Ameritrade says they can back up $900 but that doesn't fix the problem. It was an honest mistake and I have nothing to hide, but years of being forth… [cont.]

A. It's not an Ameritrade rule that you have to state what year an IRA contribution is for. No matter who you deal with, a contribution is designated for the current year unless you let them know differently, so no surprise that they didn't get set up for the previous year. Every article, by the IRS or otherwise, than I've ever seen noting that you can make contributions for the previous year up to the tax deadline includes a line something to the effect of "be sure to tell the IRA trustee that your contribution is for the previous year." You must have gotten some kind of confirmation on your contribution. OK, you probably overlooked the year they were set up for, didn't do it deliberately, but you're probably still out of luck since so… [cont.]

How much would it cost to change a 2004 Toyota Corolla's trasmission from automatic to manual?
Q. Just wondering a price, found an 2004 Toyota Corolla S for around $9k, but I'm going to negotiate. It has around 88 miles. The only down side is I want a manual and its an automatic, but its the cheapest I can find for a Corolla S model in my area (DFW 75248). Any idea on ballpark price ranges for transmission conversions?
Asked by ZE - Thu Jul 17 22:45:22 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Assuming you are using a used transmission...$1500 for the transmission, $2000 for new computer, $1500 for a new wiring harness, $2000 in labor... You are WAY better off getting a manual from the factory.

How do you replace a clock spring on a 2004 Dodge intrepid by yourself ?
Q. I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid. I need to figure out how to replace the clock spring and where to buy it!!! My car's horn isn't working and the airbag light has been on for over two months. There is a slight crackling noise when I turn the wheel. I am pretty sure that its the clock spring, but I need directions on how to fix it and where to get the parts. Thank you!!! Any help is truly appreciated!
Asked by Natasha K - Tue Mar 10 11:57:29 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. you have to pull the steering wheel ,but first you have to disconnect the battery in it then remove the air bag and unplug it being really careful with it,then behind the steering wheel is the clock spring, you,ll need a good steering wheel puller and a lot of patience, and a good repair manual,i would never start any job like that without one,you can do it though i have seen a lot of people change their own and do a good job on it,the part can be bought at a dealer,i wouldn't go with a used one not on this part, its to much trouble to take back out, good luck.

A. Obama worked with Rezko, a wealthy landlord in Chicago who has a large house rental agency, I am sure he was able to aquire a house worth while from him, although Rezko's rental agency rented houses in the ghetto's. Rezko was an avid supporter of Obama, lobbyist do exist wether they want us to believe it or not. As to Fly-Boi, your over analyzing, or under analyzing maybe, if you have been following the debates and news, instead of just jumping for Obama based off race you would know that he has reportedly been taking from lobbyists for years and I just explained an example that applies to the answer of this thread, that proves why someone would question how he came to get the house. He has been friends with Rezko for 17 years.

A. Put it on e-bay, or it's UK equivalent. You can set a reserve price, (minimum) if you want, but if you really want to sell it, I wouldn't suggest that. Used equipment doesn't seem to get any great prices. Good luck.

How to know if my Toyota Highlander 2004 is limited?
Q. How to know if my Toyota Highlander 2004 is limited? I found the dealer's listing where you can find the pics. It's a 3.3 v6 and the dealer hasnt mentioned if it's limited but from the specs i feel that it is limited. Can someone please help? I am trying to sell it so I need to know if I should mention limited on it. Thanks.

A. The easiest way to tell on a 2004 model Highlander if it is a limited model or not is to check the HVAC controls (A/C and heat). You can get almost all of the other "stuff" that most limited models came with on the standard model. Do you have dials to control the fan, temp and where the fan blows? If you do, you do not have a Limited model. If you have push-button auto-climate-control where you set the temperature on a digital display, you have a limited model. The leather, heated seats, wood grain, alloy wheels, sunroof, etc. can all either be on or added to a standard model but if you have the auto-climate control you have a limited model. Hope this helps. Ken
